The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe is a government entity that advocates a philosophy of assisting and developing economic and social self-determination of the people. The Alabama-Coushatta Finance Department consists of both accounting and treasury divisions. The primary function of the department is to provide accurate financial information to Tribal members and all Tribal-affiliated entities while adhering to general accounting principles and in accordance with the regulations and policies that govern all financial activities. The integrity of the information provided by the Finance Department is vital. It serves as the basis for decision-making, economic forecasting, compliance with funding requirements, as well as establishing sound fiscal management and business practices.
