The Alabama-Coushatta Tribal Council continues to promote economic development for the Tribe. The mission statement is: | “To create significant and sustainable sources of tribal income, meaningful employment opportunities, and support for entrepreneurship, in furtherance of tribal self-determination and improved quality of life.” |
The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe is actively marketing the economic advantages of our property to prospective corporate business partners in the industrial, distribution, and service sectors, as well as planning and obtaining capital to start tribally-owned and operated businesses. We can assist prospective partners, business owners and investors at every stage of a project, from planning and feasibility studies, through financing and building, staffing and training, and marketing and distribution.
As a local government, we can commit to providing quality public services tailored to specific needs. Through the use of tools such as tax abatements and exemptions, employment tax credits, accelerated depreciation, low interest financing and other special programs, we can help make a project competitive. By also providing a productive, well-trained labor pool, and other incentives unique to our reservation we can create an economic framework for our partners long-term success, knowing that this success will provide benefits to our community for years to come.
