OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENTThe Emergency Management Department is committed to helping Tribal Government, Tribal Departments and Tribal Members by ensuring that emergency response professionals are prepared, equipped and trained for any situation that may arise by bringing together information and resources to prepare for and respond to a terrorist attack, natural disaster or other large-scale emergency. A disaster strikes anytime, anywhere. It takes many forms -- a hurricane, an earthquake, a tornado, a flood, a fire or hazardous spill, an act of nature or an act of terrorism. It builds over days or weeks, or hits suddenly, without warning. Every year, millions of Americans face disaster, and its terrifying consequences.
The continued communication and development of strong partnerships with Local, State, Federal and other Tribal entities, agencies and personnel. Maintaining current knowledge of civil and emergency preparedness policies, procedures, methods and techniques through training, publications and networking with other Emergency Management agencies. |
