TRIBAL ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICE
The Tribal Environmental Office, funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), was established in 1996. The TEO operates under the following EPA grants: General Assistance Program (GAP), Clean Air Act 9CAA 103), and the Clean Water Act (CWA 106).

Their purpose is building capacity and the infrastructure for its programs which includes planning, developing and establishing the administrative, technical, legal, communication and environmental education for the Tribal people.

These programs help protect human health and natural resources for the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas.
